PICO DE GALLO

FRESH PICO DE GALLO

Pico de gallo is a popular Mexican salsa that is known for its fresh and bright flavors. It is a simple yet delicious blend of diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, jalapenos, and lime juice. The name "pico de gallo" translates to "rooster's beak" in Spanish, which is said to refer to the small, diced shape of the ingredients in the salsa resembling a bird's beak.

Pico de gallo has a long history in Mexican cuisine and has been enjoyed for centuries. It is believed to have originated in the region of Puebla, Mexico, where it was made with ingredients that were readily available in the area. Over time, the recipe has spread throughout Mexico and eventually to other parts of the world, where it has become a popular condiment for a variety of dishes.
